Yesterday I was listening to a podcast by Guru Gaur Gopaldas. Guruji was talking about a plane journey and how we have no control over flight right from the minute we board the plane. Sometimes we face turbulence, and sometimes it’s a smooth ride. It’s only our HOPE on the pilot that keeps us calm, and we enjoy our meals, watch our favorite movie, and make a connection with our co-passengers. So It’s our choice how we spend our time during the flight. So is our Life!
An average human life spans around 70 to 80 years, out of which most of us spend the first 20 years of academic education. So, whatever we achieve and experience is within the next 50-odd years. People will love us when we are born and when we die. But, in between, we generally manage things!
Don’t you all agree with this thought? This took me down memory lane to my childhood, adolescence, and my midlife. All the happy moments, not-so-happy moments, challenging and depressing moments flashed in front of me.
Two years back, I had a fall in my bathroom, banging my head on the WC. Anything could have happened. But I had a narrow escape with no internal head injuries. Within a month, I was on my way to Dubai on a vacation to spend some time with my daughter. I was eternally Thankful to that Higher Force that kept me alive to enjoy my coming moments.
My life journey taught me that our choices make our life. So, take a break and give a thought about what your ideal day looks like?
